This qualification provides a thorough understanding of health and safety and emphasises the importance of monitoring staff and controls. It also details the need for a structured management approach to health and safety and the key factors in implementing health and safety policy.

CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety

Who needs a certificate?

Managers and supervisors in small, medium or large catering, manufacturing, retail or office based businesses.

It is recommended that candidates have an understanding and knowledge of basic health and safety and have ideally completed the CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety within the last three years.

What will I learn?

Gain an understanding of the main concepts of health and safety
Show awareness of the benefits of health and safety culture
Explain the roles and responsibilities of individuals, supervisors and management in health and safety
Demonstrate an understanding of health and safety control and improvement strategies available to supervisors

How do I get my certificate?

The course takes three days to complete and at the end of the third day, you will be required to complete a two hour sixty question multiple choice test. If you get forty or more correct, your certificate will be sent out to you in the post. If you’re a clever clogs and get more than fifty questions right, you will pass with a merit grade. Good luck!
